It's that time of year...

It's that time of year where Lakookala heads into hibernation to demo some new tracks for an upcoming album release!  That means we are staying close to home and will only be playing in or around LA for the next few months.

In the meantime, here are a few videos that have surfaced from the "FFU" Summer Tour, of Lakookala performing on the radio, doing a sweaty interview in an attic that was EXTREMELY hot, and a video montage of the official record release at Origami Vinyl.

Before our show in Chicago, I got a chance to hang out upstairs at the Liar's Club and do an interview for Nina's Arena. Thanks to the awesome staff at Broken Brush Entertainment for their support!  Video from the show/interview will be available soon.

Live on KZUM

Thanks to everyone who came out to our shows, cooked us a meal, bought merch, gave us a floor to crash on or gave us a high five on our tour.  Our first Midwest tour was a success, thanks to all of you!

There is a lot of new media from our trip which I will be updating little by little.  In the meantime, you can listen to our live performance and interview on KZUM's the Wimmins Show here.

"FFU" is out now, and tonight to celebrate the release, Lakookala will be performing a free show in the loft at Origami Vinyl in Echo Park at 7pm.  Come get a copy of "FFU" on 7" vinyl, while they last! Early buyers will receive a poster and we have special treats for everyone from Rockstar Desserts.

Thanks to the following blogs for posting show previews and blurbs.

Also, tonight kicks off our "FFU" tour.  We hope to see you in one of these cities!

Check out the first webisode of LADYPOINTS featuring Mindy Abovitz of Tom Tom Magazine.  I'm a huge fan of Tom Tom, and am so inspired by Mindy's fearlessness in empowering women through music and feminism.
